Plating Notes:
The recut line splits slightly above the P of POSTAGE. Early impressions of this position do not always show the bruise in the head. The upper left ornamnets are shifted or double transfered. A small dot can sometimes be seen just to the right of ornament P. This dot (Figure 2 below) can be seen clearly on the early state of the plate.
