The Ashbrook/Neinken plating diagram for this position is incorrect. The plating marks illustrated on p173 of Ashbrook and p158 of Neinken for Position 51R1L actually belong to Position 71R1L. This has been confirmed using pairs and strips from multiple contributors.

Figure 1. (BELOW) Detail view of TOP RECUT LINE. The recut splits slightly at left. The right end stops at the right edge of the T of POST. Other than the split at left, the recut follows the original curved top line closely, aside from a slight downward dip above the S of POST. This is not illustrated in the Ashbrook/Neinken plating diagrams but confirmed on multiple patients.
