The upper curved line is broken which makes this patient a Type IIIa. The plating diagrams do not show this position as ever being a Type II which would indicate that the top of the design was not completely transfered to the plate.

PLATERS NOTES: The Ashbrook plating diagram, page 90 in Neinken, marked as 51L1E is really 71R1E. Break over the O and S of POSTAGE, Nick above Ornament S1, GUIDE DOT from 41L1E at upper left.
